Common reasons for visit
Back, arm, leg pain (break/sprain).
Minor cuts, bumps or bruises.
Referral for blood work, diagnostic imaging, and other tests.
Cough, cold, and flu-like symptoms.
When you should go to an emergency room
Your heart has stopped or you’ve experienced a life-threatening trauma.
You are having symptoms of a heart attack or stroke- this includes chest pain of any kind.
You aren't conscious or have recently lost consciousness since the injury.
You're having a lot trouble breathing.
You are bleeding severely.
You are having urgent mental health concerns.
You are showing signs of serious infection.
You have experienced a major head injury.
You have experienced a deep cut or have a foreign object in your eyes/ears.
Call 811 to speak with a registered nurse and get advice on non-urgent medical matters. This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Your community pharmacist may offer advice on non-urgent medication matters.
